This is because we are deeply fascinated by tech, which we often use professionally and in our private lives if it increases efficiency or piques our curiosity.

We also want a better world for our children and believe that technology is the most effective way to move the world in a better direction. That’s why we are helping both Danish and international technology that can make a difference cross borders so they can expand in the world.

Many of our clients work in relatively complex industries or with complicated products or services that often require their agency to understand their business, stakeholders and potential issues on a deeper level.

Adapt to media culture in Denmark

Every culture is distinctive, and Denmark is no exception. The Danish way of doing PR differs from how it is carried out in e.g. the U.S. The Danish public sector is large and hence has an influence on the public’s expectations to corporations, as well as the Danish ‘Jantelov’ complicates the way that large companies can communicate. There is an underlying risk of being alienated and perceived as arrogant if you can’t navigate within the norms.

We can help you manage and avoid the common mistakes that international companies often do when communicating in here, while building relation with the Danish media.

ESG in PR: Our agency might have demands for you

Our PR agency is prioritizing ESG. This means that we might have demands for you before we choose to work with you. For one, there are certain industries we stay away from, like gambling, quick loans, and tobacco.

An agency’s main influence on ESG is “downstream,” which means the difference we make for our clients enlarges their ESG impact. That is why we prioritize working with companies that contribute something valuable to society and make an effort to lessen their negative ESG impact.

CSRD is here

ESG is good PR in the Nordics
ESG has a high priority in the Nordic countries, and CSR was adopted early by many companies. Staying clear of unethical actions and making an effort to do good can earn consumers’ and clients’ respect and have a significant positive influence on your brand.

Walk the talk

– and show it, don't tell it
Handle your communication with care. Doing PR about sustainability here without “walking the talk” will easily result in accusations of greenwashing, especially after the Consumer Ombudsman in 2022-2023 accused many companies of greenwashing by using words like sustainability without proper documentation. This is the result of complaints primarily from consumers who are keeping a keen eye on how companies communicate about themselves.

Strong ethics in the Nordics

Most agencies won’t accept playing dirty
Among communications agencies here, you will generally see fewer of them accepting to perform smear campaigns against clients’ competitors and fewer or smaller scandals appearing than in many other countries. We recommend our clients to play “by the book” since we believe it is the best way to get long-lasting results – while those playing even a little dirty when doing Danish PR are often pointed out and risk negative publicity as a consequence. So tread lightly.

A local PR agency builds trust

The population is characterized by a high level of tolerance and social equality and has a high degree of trust in other Danes – but also skepticism towards international companies’ press releases. If you use a local agency for public relations, you are more likely to be heard, as the editors feel better knowing that other Danes have filtered out the worst sales jargon and exaggerated claims often seen in press releases from international clients.

The Danish media landscape is characterized by heavy digitization – a trend that has been ongoing for the last decade. TV might produce videos for online streaming, and readership of print media has been dropping steadily, while smartphone adoption is almost full and considered a primary news source. Traditional media is still the most trusted among their own audiences, but the main readership is found online.

Businesses doing public relations and communications here are an integral part of the media food chain, and journalists take approaches from PR professionals seriously.
